My personal version of Spaghetti Pie

Ahhh...SPAGHETTI PIE....such a kid pleaser......, ok adult pleaser too :-)
I know there are a lot of different variations of this kind of recipe but this is mine, I made some modifications to make it a tad healthier.....ENJOY!!!!!

My ingredients:

10 oz of Whole grain spaghetti
1 egg
1/2 package of shredded Mozarella cheese
1 onion beaten
Minced Garlic
1/2 stick of butter
1 lb of ground turkey (or chicken or hamburger)
1 jar of pasta sauce
Approx 14 oz of spaghetti (I use whole wheat or whole grain)
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (or more)
2 Tablespoons of olive oil (I prefer extra virgin)
Oil spray (I prefer Canola)

Instructions:

1) Boil the water for the spaghetti
2) Preheat the oven to 350
3) While cooking the spaghetti brown the meat in the olive oil and garlic
4) Add the spaghetti sauce
5) Cook the spaghetti
6) Cool the spaghetti with cool water until the pasta is just warm so when you put the egg in it won't cook it :-)
7) Toss the warm, cooked spaghetti with the Parmesan, butter and egg
8) Spread the spaghetti mixture in 9x11 glass dish like a crust
9) Spread the meat sauce over the spaghetti
10) Add the mozzarella on the top

11) Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes
12) Heat the remaining sauce
13) Let the pie sit for 5 minutes before cutting and serving
14) Place the sauce on a plate and then put a piece of pie on top

And this is what it will look like while serving

ENJOY :-)
